Cthulhu, pronounced kuh·thoo·loo, is a fictional mind-bending alien that resides within the Earth’s crust, first introduced to us in 1922 by the author H. P. Lovecraft in his short story “The Call of Cthulhu.” in the pulp fiction magazine Weird Tales.
Lovecraft describes the Cthulhu “as a gigantic entity worshipped by cultists, in the shape of a green octopus, dragon, and a caricature of [the] human form.
The Cthulhu is popular among the steampunk fraternity, as a clue, due to the octopus appearance of the creature.
