Some interesting stuff about Konica.
Konica was a Japanese manufacturer of cameras, film and other photographic equipment and materials. The company’s history dates back to 1873, which predates Kodak’s involvement in the photography business. It all started when pharmacist Rokusaburo Sugiura began selling photographic materials at his shop in Konishiya Rokubē, the largest pharmacy trader in Tokyo at the time.
