This pitcher post is a celebration of Eugene Ivanov’s steampunk-themed paintings. Although in Eugene’s regular vibrant, modernist format, the oil paintings displayed in this article also depict the classic characteristics and subject of the steampunk movement.
About Eugene Ivanov.
The Czech painter and book illustrator Eugene Ivanov was born in 1966 in Tyumen, Siberia. He has lived and worked in Prague, the Czech Republic, since 1998. Eugene Ivanov’s art is established on visions and dreams. His paintings are saturated with unreal poetry. Eugene Ivanov has also illustrated over two hundred books with oil paintings and watercolours. He has had numerous solo exhibitions, and his work is collected internationally.
In his work, Eugene captures the realism of his surroundings, the back streets of Prague and the classic still life of the old town. While at the same time incorporating a classical cubism modernist and expressionist style of the mid-twentieth century.
