Published in 1898, H. G. Wheless’s Science Fiction novel, “The War Of The Worlds” is one of the earliest works of literature dealing with the subject of an invasion by extraterrestrials.
Written during the reign of Queen Victoria, the book still remains popular. Especially within the Steampunk Culture. It has been reproduced and reworked in many formats since its publication one hundred and eighteen years ago. Including, theatre plays, musicals, cinema, a very scary radio broadcast, and numerous T.V. adaptations.
BurnedbyDesign’s sculpture is inspired by Jeff Wayne’s classic album that feathered Richadred burton and David Essex.
